Today, I am a guest blogger at The Expat Hub . In Overcoming First Impressions in India, I write about my initial reactions as an expat in Bangalore. Everything seemed so foreign and strange. My senses were overwhelmed as I tried to adjust to my new life that was far removed from my comfort zone.

If you’re interested in learning more about my incredible experiences in India, read May This Be the Best Year of Your Life.

Years later, I can chuckle over my first impressions. I realize how important it is to be flexible when you are an expat. Had I not adjusted my mindset, I would have floundered.

Websites like The Expat Hub are a useful tool for anyone planning to relocate to another country. I would have been better prepared had I found such a resource before leaving the US.

It has been a wonderful opportunity to be a guest blogger on The Expat Hub. I was pleased to work with Jamie, a member of The Expat Hub team.
