Today, I make the fourth stop of my Virtual Book Tour at Shannon Young’s website, A Kindle in Hong Kong. Yes, Shannon is actually in Hong Kong. That’s the beauty of  a virtual book tour. I can visit with people all around the world while I sit comfortably in my Colorado home.

As a notable international educator and memoirist, Shannon can relate to my expat experiences. Our email conversation provides additional insight into my memoir, May This Be the Best Year of Your Life.

Shannon Young is an American currently teaching English in Hong Kong. She is the author of a mini travel memoir about Beijing called  The Olympic Beat and a travel memoir about her experiences in Hong Kong, for which she is seeking literary representation. Shannon is the editor of an anthology of creative non-fiction and memoir by expatriate women in East Asia, forthcoming form Signal 8 Press. She blogs about books and travel at A Kindle in Hong Kong  and tweets @ShannonYoungHK.
