As the month of February is quickly drawing to a close, I want to recap the guest appearances that I made on four unique websites. The women who manage these sites were gracious hosts. I met each through social media. After we started to exchange emails, our relationships grew. The physical distance between us was minimized once we found common ground.
On February 25, I visited Barbara Younger’s site- Friend for the Ride. Barbara was curious about the essays that I had written about American Jewish women. She had seen my posted writings on the Jewish Women’s Archive site and asked me if I could link my current writing with my past work. Trailblazing Women-From Generation to Generation is my response to her inquiry.
On February 24, I was interviewed by Diana Bletter on her website The Best Chapter. Diana just published a new book, The Mom Who Took off on Her Motorcycle: Life Lessons on the Road in Alaska. My responses to her questions are linked here- Sandra Bornstein: May This Be the Best Year of Your Life
On February 14, my interview with Joan Brunwasser appeared in OpEdNews. Even though we had never met, some of our Chicago friendships overlapped and we both attended the same overnight camp as children. Anyone else spend summers at Camp Nicolet in Eagle River, Wisconsin? The interview can be found at Sandra Bornstein on “May This Be the Best Year of Your Life”
In the beginning of February, I shared my version of “my gutsy story” with Sonia Marsh at Gutsy Living. She runs a monthly contest that showcases “gutsy stories.” My Gutsy Story- Becoming an International Teacher in Bangalore, India was the initial entry for February. In March, readers will be able to vote for their favorite story. Don’t forget to vote.
Each month, I plan to expand my social circle by visiting more amazing sites. Enjoy the ride as I hopscotch around the globe making guest appearances.
